26th Guelph Group:
26th Guelph Group has been in the South/West corner of Guelph for 37 years. We currently have 20 Volunteers and 75 youth in our program. We are very active in the community, participate in apple day, hold our own banquet during Scouting Week in February, attend scouting camps as well as our own camps, participate in the Yellow Fish Program and help with a community clean up around Earth Day plus more. We offer a great program for all ages.
Sections:
- Beavers (5-7 years old) - Monday 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Fun and adventure is the cornerstone of our Beaver program. Through an adventurous program of outdoor activities, creative play, music and cooperative games, Beavers enjoy time with their friends (and meet new ones), learn how to get along within a group and develop confidence to be themselves. The 26th Guelph Beaver Colony is open to boys and girls at Kortright Hills Public School Gym.
- Cubs (8-10 years old) - Wednesday 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
With the Cub motto of “Do your Best” front and centre, Cubs are encouraged to try new and more challenging activities. Learning important first aid skills, cooking over a fire or leading a game at camp will open the door for Cubs to try other adventurers they never thought possible. Our Pack continues to meet at Kortright Hills Public School Gym. All boys and girls are welcome to join the ‘Grand Howl’.
- Scouts (11-14 years old) - Tuesday 7:00 pm to 8:45 pm
Do you enjoy outdoor adventures? Want to spend time with your friends and meet new ones? Want to gain valuable leadership skills? Scouts focus on being with friends while enjoying new challenges. The 26th Guelph Scout Troop meet at Kortright Hills Public School Gym. All adventure-minded youth are welcome to join.
- Ventures (14-18 years old) - Monday 7:00 pm to 8:45 pm
The 26th Guelph Venture Company regularly interacts with other Guelph Venture Company’s in Guelph. The Company meet at Kortright Hills Public School Gym. Youth interested in ‘Challenge’ are welcome.
